It is Day 2 in Hell for Leo Brawn and he is attending orientation led by local legend Billy Bocheefe. This orientation session has security tightened for an unknown reason. Leo meets fellow new arrivals, Herman Edward Coxlin and Jillian Burkett. He also makes a new friend in Maximilian. Meanwhile, back at the Obsidian Recovery Agency, Captain F.J. Mangutt and the henchman known as The Pig have a tense confrontation. And, back home in Jeffries Point, Massachusetts, Laurie Stryker, lead singer of the punk rock band The Hack Sisters, is made frighteningly aware that she may have an unwanted guest.

Captain Mangutt takes him through a crash course and then Leo gets the unexpected news about his first case, the lead singer of a rock band, Laurie Stryker. Meanwhile, in Massachusetts, Laurie Stryker is being plagued even further by the sinister demon who possesses her. Sebastien investigates the mysterious omissions surrounding Leo's death details report and bumps into an unlikely ally, Jillian Burkett. Laurie finds out just how malicious this demon really is.
