For episode one of the Legacy podcast, I sit down with the matriarch of my family and discover how her personal story fits within the context of our family and society at large. We discuss black entrepreneurism, black history and so much more.
In this episode, I get my grandma's thoughts on "The Golden Bachelor" (and whether or not she'd date a white man). I discovered my great grandfather was the first black multimillionaire mortician, and that my great grandmother could (and on occasion did) pass for white to enjoy a more luxurious lifestyle.
Enjoy this conversation as I explore what it means to my grandmother to leave a legacy of good on the earth.

For episode three of the Legacy Podcast, I sit down with actress and comedian Marian Ebhamen. We take a look at what’s ‘Current in Culture’ - discussing Marian’s thoughts on the Oscar Nominations, AI resurrecting dead Hollywood Stars, & how one Texas town is fighting to evict 43,000 monkeys from their neighborhood.

Our Houston, Texas native shares with us her love for acting and future aspirations for philanthropy. We also get a close up on Marian’s personal journey of evolution as someone who went from being bullied to bullying fear, small-mindness, and insecurity. She is a true dispeller of darkness and is learning more and more what it looks like to be a “Demon Bully.” Join us as we discuss what it means to Marian to leave a legacy of transformation on the earth.

For episode four of the Legacy Podcast, I traveled to Orlando, Florida to sit down with worship leader and teacher Ruth Joy Chilcote. Ruthie Joy and I first met at bible college in Australia and have seen each other walk through both the highs and the lows. In this conversation, we explore what it means to arrive at a purer; deeper joy despite challenging seasons.

This is the first episode recorded from the Legacy Podcast Tour and it was a timely conversation. I pray you receive the keys to navigate your way through depression, grief and loss - discovering the true joy of the Lord and his unending goodness. Ruth’s personal testimony is sure to inspire and give us a glimpse into what it means to leave a legacy of joy on the earth.

For episode two of the Legacy Podcast, I sit down with podcaster, poet, and dare I say fashion icon & influencer Erica Francis, to discuss the power of invitation, conversation & a home cooked meal.
She shares how her and her friend, roommate and co-host of "The Dinner Series" opened their home to create a space for LA dreamers to find community.
In this episode, we talk about what it means to authentically connect with people in an era where we are more isolated than ever. Join us as we explore what it means for Erica Francis to leave a legacy of love on the earth.

For episode five of the Legacy Podcast, I traveled to New York to sit down with author, speaker, worship leader, and educator Dr. Christy Bordes. Christy and I first met at NYU in 2014 and it has truly been a treasure and a gift to see this Brooklyn-native evolve over the years. Her life of obedience to God is sure to inspire, impact - and dare I say, bring conviction as well. In this episode, Dr. Bordes and I have a sobering conversation about what (we observe) is most needed in the church in America today. We explore what it means to be a truth teller and a follower of the Lord Jesus in these complex latter days...

This is the second episode recorded from the Legacy Podcast Tour and it was a timely conversation on preparing the Bride of Christ and embracing a new era of leadership. Dr. Bordes' insights will help us understand what it means to leave a legacy of Christ-loyalty on the earth.

For episode six of the Legacy Podcast, I traveled to San Diego, California, to sit down with youth pastors and theologians, Stephany and Parker Newburn. I met this incredible couple during my time at Bible college in Sydney, Australia. What I love about Steph and Parker is that they’re not only students but doers of the Word. I had the privilege of joining them for a week of loving and serving the most vulnerable populations in Tijuana, Mexico, with their church, Ancla Iglesia.

This is the third episode recorded from the Legacy Podcast Tour, and it was a sobering conversation on moving beyond learning doctrinal truths about Jesus to practically being his hands and feet in our own backyard. Steph and Parker share with us their heart in discipling young people and serving the people of Tijuana. Their insights will help us understand what it means to leave a legacy of love and humility on the earth.
