Lead Stories Podcast

Edrin Williams is the Formation Pastor at Sanctuary Church in Minneapolis, working to create spaces for adults to Connect, Grow, & Serve in ways that draw them closer to God and other people. Today's episode features a powerful and engaging teaching from a recent sermon series entitled Mission Friends.

Bio excerpt: Beyond my work at Sanctuary, I am passionate about developing leaders of all ages who will impact society from their sphere of influence. I love writing and speaking! I am at my best when I’m using biblical teaching, humor, storytelling and my background in the humanities & social sciences to influence others in the ways of Jesus. Most recently, I was a contributor to the book, Father Factor: American Christian Men on Fatherhood and Faith, a project with White Cloud Press, and the author of Reclaiming Fatherhood, which appeared in YouthWorker Journal. You can find my irregular but interesting blogs about faith, family, and other topics at www.edrinwilliams.com.

Summer Sermon Series - Ep 10 - Deeper by Pastor Gail Song Bantum

Today's episode features Pastor Gail Song Bantum preaching on John Chapter 8 as part of a series on the book of John called Deeper at Quest Church in Seattle.

Here is an excerpt from Gail's bio on her BLOG:

who am i? a second generation korean-american who doesn’t speak much korean, often mistaken for mixed-race, the black community is like family, love soul and latin music. and i LOVE me some food!

past and future : for nearly 20 years, i have led worship and pastored in congregations ranging the span of non-denominational charismatic churches to liturgical methodist services. i have a passion and calling to see the life of discipleship and worship within the church expressed in ways that transcend cultural, denominational, and generational boundaries through creative arts and diverse giftings represented in the body of christ. recently, i have also found great passion in sharing life, mentorship, and leadership nuggets that i’ve learned over the years with up and coming leaders -especially with young women and men of color.

i received my mdiv degree from duke divinity school and my bachelors degree from the eastman school of music in rochester, new york in music performance and conducting. i am enjoying and consider it a privilege to be serving as the executive pastor at quest church in seattle, washington.

my life and loves: i have been married for 19 years to brian, the most amazing man ever! we met in college right after my mother passed away and we managed a long distance relationship for two LONG years! (and this was back before cell phones and email!!!) the joys of my life are our three beautiful sons: caleb, ezra, and joseph. we love hikes, listening to music, all things christmas and of course, you wouldn’t be a bantum if you didn’t love to eat;)

-i LOVE to think, discuss, teach and embody what it means for our lives, as the church, to endlessly reverberate with the song of our fervent desire for the One who continually creates, gifts, and sustains all of life. i also LOVE LOVE LOVE to mentor and raise up next generation leaders and have found fulfillment in celebrating the successes, gifts and strengths in others.
