Why did you start this show?

Music is the reason I started this show! I feel like it's so expansive that there was definitely a lane for my style of music education and discovery.

What do you hope listeners gain from listening to your show?

I hope listeners find a safe space to learn, listen and enjoy! I want to be that relatable voice in music podcasts. Not just fluff filled shows with meaningless interviews.

Which episode should someone start with?

Start from the latest and go backwards. TRUST ME!

Which have been your favourite episodes so far?

The episode on New Jack Swing and Aaliyah's uncle are my personal favorite episodes of my own!

Which episode are you most proud of?

I'm actually most proud of the episode titled "You really waited on Ye" because it continues to be my most played episode. The Rihanna and revisits is quickly becoming a close second!

What is your vision for your show?

My vision is to keep educating and keep being open to new musical styles and artists on the rise.

What is your favourite other podcast that isn't yours?

There's too many to name but if you tune in, those that I shout out (especially the pod friends) are my easy favorites!

How did you come up with the name for your podcast?

Well. Lavender is my actual last name. Alot of ppl only address by my last name and I'm always listening to music so Lavender Listens it is!
