He has given us the gift of eternal through Jesus Christ the Lord. Jesus suffered and died for our sins on the cross. God is a giver, and so are His children; first to their Lord, and then to others.
Ephesians 2:8-9, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
2 Corithians 5:15, "And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again."
