Children's Tarot with JUANITA BENEDICTO
Kosmic Tonic
01/10/21 • 61 min
In this episode, we speak to Juanita Benedicto, co-creator of the Faunabelle tarot deck for children. Juanita has lived many lives, all of them rich (and frankly awe-inspiring.) Today, you can find Juanita in San Miguel de Allende, where she practices astrology and planetary magic. In this episode we talk magic and talismans; we talk compassion; we talk animals (and "animal ambassadors"); and importantly: we talk tarot and tarot for young ones.
At time of posting, there's still a week left on the Kickstarter campaign, if you want to support this beautiful project!

Persephone
Kosmic Tonic
11/09/20 • 79 min
In this episode, we explore the archetype of Persephone (née Kore, or maiden), who transforms from ingenue to Queen of the Underworld. There are layers to this story: onion skins of complexity and different takes, depending on the teller. Persephone is also an asteroid you can find in your natal chart, perhaps pointing to a place of vulnerability and curiosity for what lies beyond.
At the end of this episode, we answer an audience question on how our personal Pluto placements interact with the US Pluto placement, as America enters its Pluto return. Our thoughts on this question lead into a conversation about race and racism.
We hope you enjoy! Thanks for tuning in, and remember to rate us with some stars and "subscribe" so you don't miss an episode.

The Astrology of 2023
Kosmic Tonic
01/06/23 • 79 min
That’s a wrap on 2022. Happy New Year! In this episode, Jasmine, Kestrel, and Eliza unpack the astrology of 2023. With Mercury and Mars both retrograde at the top of the year, we begin on a slow note. But this year has a few huge changes in store. Like, generationally huge. In March, Saturn enters Pisces for the first time in 30 years. (That means if you have Saturn in Pisces, you’re entering your Saturn return. And if you have Saturn in Aquarius, your return is officially ending.) Then Pluto enters Aquarius for the first time since the 18th century. 2023 is all about cultivating supple boundaries with yourself and others and co-creating the reality you want to exist in. Tune in for a detailed breakdown of these transits and more.

The Mars & Venus Cycle
Kosmic Tonic
07/13/21 • 43 min
Mars and Venus joined together on July 13th — a conjunction that occurs every two years or so (retrogrades depending). These planets represent the archetypes of the lovers, the chemical attraction between opposites, the alchemy of merging two distinct elements into a third. To honour this holy and sexy union, we recorded an episode on this conjunction and what it might mean for us.
