I had such a nice conversation with Jess Heagren who set up That Works For Me - A platform that connects skilled, experienced people with growing businesses in need of flexible support.

I met Jess at an Enterprise Nation - Festival of females. After meeting Jess on a zoom networking event and so glad I did, she was lovely, inspirational and I could have talked to her all day. I then realised that she was a finalist for female start up of the year, which she later went on to win. I've kept in touch and she very kindly gave up some time in a busy schedule to talk.

A really interesting conversation about flexible working, as a parent or not, in a pandemic or not. Making her way through the start up and where she goes from here.

Hello!

I am Leah and I set up my website www.koalamama.co.uk in June 2019. I wanted a place where new parents can find, book and pay online for local activities.

I have met so many lovely mums in business I wanted to talk and share all these lovely insights into life with a baby, children and running a business.

First Episode, Beth is one of the lovely providers on Koalamama.

I first heard of Beth -Embody Training whilst I was pregnant, I was looking for all the lovely ways to stay fit during my pregnancy. We then met when I had Ruby and I wanted everyone with a baby to be able know what to do exercise wise, 6 months later Beth's classes are highlighted on Koalamama and I asked Beth to come and join me in discussing all lovely ways to run a business as a mum. How she started her business in Leamington Spa after relocating to the area.

It's Mental Health Awareness week and what a great time to speak to By your Side founder Leanne Howlett.

By Your Side is a support group working with Coventry and Warwickshire Perinatal Mental Health Team.

Leanne talks about her own perinatal experience and how we can support this group and raise more awareness.

I talk to Mum, business owner and nurse Mari -Carmen about how she is changing the way she works at the moment and being able to have the choice to go back to work as a nurse at such a horrible time. Not only is Mari trying to keep her business a float, she is investing time for the community and we thank you for this x

I speak to life, career and business coach Mikaela Jackson about her return to work as a new Mummy. Being a Freedompreneur, Mikaela still manages to do the job she loves after creating She Almighty with the future view of having a family, creating that lifestyle has allowed her to work and enjoy maternity leave now with her baby boy, Koby.
