Gilles de Reys, a knight and lord from Brittany, was convicted as a confessed serial killer of children in the 1400s. He was involved in the occult and attempted to summon a demon multiple times. He confessed to killing between 100 to 200 children and was executed in 1440. There have been questions of his guilt and conspiracy theories surrounding his case.
