Killin Missin Hidden - Charles Whitman, Jr. - The Texas Terror
play

11/23/21 • 110 min

August 1, 1966, is a day that will live in infamy in the United States, particularly at the University of Texas. That's the day Charles Whitman, Jr., spent hours sniping down innocent students, professors, mothers, fathers, husbands, wives, and children from the top of the tower on the University of Texas campus. While many people know of the shooting, very few learned what caused Charles to snap or why it took so long for police to stop his massacre. Many also don't appreciate what dark legacy Whitman's evil left on this world.

Killin Missin Hidden - Dorothea Gray - Death in a Shawl
play

10/26/21 • 159 min

Few boarding homes in Sacramento were willing to take in particularly troubled tenants. Dorothea Gray only accepted the particularly troubled tenants into her home. Social workers, substance abuse counselors, and mental health professionals were amazed at her ability to turn around hopeless cases. Not every story was a success, sadly, as several got back in trouble with the law or would disappear altogether. But none could blame "Saint Dorothea" for the failures when the occurred. However, one day a particularly loved resident went missing. And Dorothea ended up in jail. How did this grandmotherly sort become known as one of the scariest serial killers in California?
