Charles Whitman, Jr. - The Texas Terror
Killin Missin Hidden
11/23/21 • 110 min
August 1, 1966, is a day that will live in infamy in the United States, particularly at the University of Texas. That's the day Charles Whitman, Jr., spent hours sniping down innocent students, professors, mothers, fathers, husbands, wives, and children from the top of the tower on the University of Texas campus. While many people know of the shooting, very few learned what caused Charles to snap or why it took so long for police to stop his massacre. Many also don't appreciate what dark legacy Whitman's evil left on this world.

Dorothea Gray - Death in a Shawl
Killin Missin Hidden
10/26/21 • 159 min
Few boarding homes in Sacramento were willing to take in particularly troubled tenants. Dorothea Gray only accepted the particularly troubled tenants into her home. Social workers, substance abuse counselors, and mental health professionals were amazed at her ability to turn around hopeless cases. Not every story was a success, sadly, as several got back in trouble with the law or would disappear altogether. But none could blame "Saint Dorothea" for the failures when the occurred. However, one day a particularly loved resident went missing. And Dorothea ended up in jail. How did this grandmotherly sort become known as one of the scariest serial killers in California?

The Hart Family: Adopted to Death
Killin Missin Hidden
01/21/20 • 30 min
All eight members of the Hart Family were killed when their van crashed off of a California roadside cliff, falling 100 feet to the rocky shore below. Jennifer and Susan Hart of Minnesota adopted six children from Houston, creating what was affectionately known as the Hart Tribe. Well known in the local festival circuit and active in social causes, the family was often held out as perfect family. But there was a darkness lurking in the shadows of this seeming ideal family.

Dr. Frank Olson was a senior scientist employed by the CIA in its Special Operations Division. He was talented, creating some of the best spy gadgets the agency had available during the Cold War. However, when he is asked to work on projects centered around extracting information from prisoners and other MK-ULTRA matters, his career starts going downhill. Was he considered a security threat that needed to be eliminated? Was he experimented on with LSD without his knowledge. Did he die at his own hands or was he victim of a paranoid CIA? And why was the CIA so focused on preventing the New York PD from investigating his death?

Jeremy Bright: Lost at the Fair
Killin Missin Hidden
01/21/20 • 27 min
Jeremy Bright was an athletic teenager who always looked out for his sister and was considered a good child. Yet no one has seen him since August 14, 1986. In the small town of Myrtle Point, Oregon, the police refused to accept he was anything but a runaway and did not formally begin to search for him for seven days after his disappearance. But his family knew right away something was wrong. Did this young man successfully run away to begin a new life or was he the victim of a spiked drink, an accidental gunshot wound, or a fatal stabbing at the hands of his former babysitter?
