David Waldman and Greg Dworkin spent most of the first hour discussing this guy that runs some competing podcast called The Joe Rogan Experience. It seems that Mr. Rogan got into trouble disseminating COVID disinformation, primarily because Dr. Dworkin is not on his staff, but also because Joe’s been cutting corners, trying to pull the whole show together on his own for a measly $100 million per year. The crazy thing is, even with a pretty popular, regularly produced podcast, Joe Rogan remains a sorely misunderstood guy, apparently with some hippies that his boss Spotify has a thing for. Joe being the regular, decent guy he is, promises to apply himself a bit more, and “just ask questions” more carefully, or something.

If Joe Rogan can only get everyone on the same page, the COVID-19 pandemic will cease to be the most polarizing crisis in America. Until then, the media will feel the need to gently both-sides fragile anti-vaxxers to safety. The American Academy of Pediatrics advocates rational precautions which some rational people might listen to.

Meanwhile, a caravan of illegals crossed over into Canada to protest big government and find another teat to suck on. Justin Trudeau did catch COVID, but will not die from it, thanks to Canadian healthcare.

Democracy continues to die from a thousand small cuts applied in local governments across the country. Democrats are p...

David Waldman delivers us to Friday! Probably because he didn’t have to drive over a bridge in Pittsburgh to get there.

Who isn’t wild about Harry? The same Tennessee school board against Maus, because of “the cussing”, believe the song “I’m Just Wild About Harry” is a little “too hot” for kids... Ironic isn’t it, that the song was originally controversial for implying that Black people were capable of romantic relationships? In the board’s defense, they might not have been aware of that, as that district has always been untouched by CRT, and that song has long been purged of race… pretty much.

You’d think ol’ times there are not forgotten, but some do have selective memories. Glenn Youngkin is banning the teaching of “critical race theory” in his state but forgot he helped set it up in his kid’s school. In Florida, civil rights are a memory some would prefer to soon forget. Fox News can’t remember any Black people that made it through school. (Republicans on the judiciary committee will sure be surprised to see a Black woman in business attire.) Joe Rogan actually can’t remember seeing a Black person outside of a National Geographic.

Senior Black Correspondent Darwin H.M. reports that the NFL is down to

It’s the Year of the Tiger... It’s the thrill of the fight, rising up to the challenge of our rival! Now that you have that earworm for the year, listen to today’s KITM with David Waldman and Joan McCarter and contract ”brainworms”! (It’s more fun than it sounds.)

We begin Black History Month, this year with dozens of bomb threats and book burnings like the old days.   It’s gotten so that the US has become the world’s cautionary tale on preventing authoritarian takeovers. Donald Trump continues couping up a storm, promising to pardon insurrectionists that he had abandoned in jail earlier, in order to rile up future insurrectionists he’ll abandon in the future, while assembling Mike Pence’s second set of gallows. Could we re-impeach Trump, and maybe do it right this time? Hasn’t anyone else figured out this sort of problem?   Speaking of executions, Donald ordered three different federal departments to execute his order to seize voting machines but could find no one that was into just following orders. Trump would also regularly tear and chew up documents. His handlers would wait for him to
