About Dr. Charlton Wolfgang
Frank King, Suicide Prevention speaker and Trainer was a writer for The Tonight Show for 20 years.
Depression and suicide run in his family. He’s thought about killing himself more times than he can count. He’s fought a lifetime battle with Major Depressive Disorder and Chronic Suicidality, turning that long dark journey of the soul into five TEDx Talks and sharing his lifesaving insights on Mental Health Awareness with associations, corporations, and colleges.
A Motivational Public Speaker who uses his life lessons to start the conversation giving people permission to give voice to their feelings and experiences surrounding depression and suicide.
And doing it by coming out, as it were, and standing in his truth, and doing it with humor.
He believes that where there is humor there is hope, where there is laughter there is life, nobody dies laughing. The right person, at the right time, with the right information, can save a life.

Episode 48 - The Path to Hyper Healing
Just Education Podcast: Mentorships in Education
12/22/21 • 61 min
As parents and teachers, we are always trying to connect with our kids while trying to maintain an image of authority and confidence. Sometimes we vacillate as we try different approaches to see what works. Avigail's wisdom in working with kids with ADHD can be generalized to adults working with kids in many situations. I have read her book and really love the structure, specificity and research that she shares. I hope you will find some direction when you listen to the podcast and perhaps, peruse the book.

About Avigail Gimpel
Avigail was born in 1974, the 3rd of eight children.
She got her first teaching job in 1996, in a school for immigrant children in queens New York. That same year she ran a Sunday school for Jewish public-school children. She got her BA from Touro college and completed her graduate studies at Touro college graduate school for Special Education in Manhattan, New York.
She married Daniel Gimpel in 1998 while teaching in an all-boys orthodox elementary school. In this school, she developed an intervention program for students struggling with ADHD symptoms. She and Daniel moved to Israel soon after their marriage. Avigail continued her education there, earning advanced degrees in teaching reading to children with Dyslexia and cognitive education for children with ADHD symptoms. In 2003, she and her husband, with three small children moved to Moscow, Russia. There she taught in three different schools and headed up the English department in one of the schools.
Upon our return to Israel, she emersed herself in studying and developing treatment options for ADHD for her own six kids and many struggling students. She collaborated with her father-in-law, Dr. Amnon Gimpel (psychiatrist and neurologist), and developing a parent training program. She moved on to develop a teacher’s training program. Avigail teaches in Hertzog college as well as lectures in Israeli schools and to parent groups all over Israel. She works in private practice, training parents to become ADHD coaches to their children, and spouses to learn a new love language to communicate with respect.
She recently published her first book “HyperHealing”, based on many years of research and practice both as a mother of a good number of kids diagnosed with ADHD, as well as a classroom teacher of children struggling with ADHD symptoms. Her second book HyperHealing, Show me the Science is expected to be published in the next few months.

Episode 31 - Theo Joubert | Powered by Your Heart!
Just Education Podcast: Mentorships in Education
09/04/20 • 69 min
Join us for a special episode with guest, Theo Joubert.
In this episode of Mentorships in Education, we welcome Theo Joubert, an English language teacher devoted to helping kids learn. Mentorships in Education is brought to you by Just Education, LLC and is hosted by Judith Epstein. Judith has a Master's degree in Education with a concentration in Language Acquisition. She is certified in special education with post-graduate coursework and professional development in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Social Thinking, and Collaborative & Proactive Solutions and Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT). Judith created Just Education, LLC to compile a free resource library for mentors of students who struggle on a wide variety of topics that are all related to education and student success.
About Theo Joubert
I decided to spend my life helping kids in 1990. Teaching seemed a suitable profession. After graduation, I trained teachers upgrading their qualifications and taught senior high physics. after that, I taught grade 5 to grade 7 in South Africa until the end of 2002.
In 2003, I began teaching English in Taiwan. Once I had some experience, I began developing my own teaching system and books. Today I have my own school and teach our students using my system and materials. We've been able to create an environment for kids to enjoy learning and for people who care about kids to learn how to teach.
Teaching English in Taiwan is a fantastic experience. We get to teach the same students twice a week for multiple years in a row. Over time, we get to know our students and their families. Most of our students join us after kindergarten and leave when they set off for university. Our students are absolute beginners when they join our school. Once they complete our formal system, they join our reading program, where we guide them to read English novels. Reading novels is a great way to have massive comprehensible input. We have a structured system for teaching challenging words and phrases in the novels and helping kids practice their listening and speaking skills. Reading each novel aloud with a native English speaker helps students improve their pronunciation and fluency.
At present, I am working on improving our system for beginners to make learning English easier and more fun. This includes a more efficient learning path for mastering the English alphabet, internalizing the letter sounds and an introduction to Phonics that is easy to learn and easy to teach.

Juan Lee is an author and teacher on the powerful principle of love. For over 30 years, he has studied organized religion to find the elements that unite humanity and share the message with those who need it.
