Today’s guest Danny was a participant in the men’s training Heroes Calling, and he’s here to share his experience. Starting out on food stamps, Danny always knew he wanted to be his own boss to take care of his family. He bought his own practice and eventually got to a point where they didn’t have to worry about money. However, he was so focused on the business he wasn’t present for his family. He was so focused on doing more and growing bigger but to the detriment of his happiness. Danny knew something was off, but he didn’t have the tools to fix it. One night, feeling really empty, Danny got an email about the Heroes Calling training, and he signed up right away. Walking into it with assumptions about who he was, Danny came out the other side knowing he was so much more.

Dental Nachos with Dr. Paul Goodman, Part 2
We’re back with part two with Dr. Paul Goodman of Dental Nachos. Much like the Dental Syndicate, Dental Nachos is a way to collaborate, learn to make business better, and learn to be nicer to patients and family. At the end of the day, it’s a way to help dentists feel less alone and be proud of what they do. Dental Nachos is a forum to share stories and develop core strategies. Dr. Goodman says he’s serious about helping people but doesn’t take himself too seriously. He believes in challenging ideas without attacking people. He’s sharing how perfectionism is toxic and how dental school can be impractical. He encourages dentists to be more creative and to be more flexible.

Impact, Integrity, and the Mask
Today Dr. Jeff Buske is talking about impact, integrity, and the mask. Recently, while traveling to Scottsdale, AZ for a dental event, a young man on Dr. Buske’s flight decided to take a stand against wearing a mask. The problem was he didn’t make that stand by refusing to support the airlines. He didn’t make his stand while boarding the plane, either. He waited until the plane was out on the tarmac before he refused to wear it. This resulted in the plane having to return to the gate, which impacted everyone on board. By not honoring his word, he was out of integrity. What happens when we don’t honor our word within our relationships or on the job? People are impacted. If you ever find yourself out of integrity, acknowledge it and make it right.
