Dr. Noonan is a cultural historian of American foreign relations studying how non-material forces such as memory, perception and emotion shape issues of diplomacy, war etc. In particular, his research examines relationships between trans-national anarchist terrorism, American foreign relations and security in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. On this episode, he gives a glimpse into the anarchists and assassins of this era.
