Island Travel Podcast

Island Travel Podcast

Marc

Islands are ideal for travel and in this podcast travelers share stories and tips from their travels to exotic islands across the world. Over time I found myself gravitating towards islands for a variety of reasons that we explore in these podcast episodes. Episodes will be 15-20 minutes, come out weekly, and feature one guest speaking about an island, or group of islands, they visited and will share their "on the ground" knowledge. I worked in the travel industry for several years and have traveled to over 70 countries. I am the author of the book "Internet Revolution: A Generational Story" available on Amazon. Chiloé island, though easily accessible by ferry in southern Chile, is a bit off the beaten path for most travelers, in the best possible way! Melissa Dear, a travel specialist at Audley Travel, says "if you're not aware of it, not much marketing, you may overlook it."
Melissa shares what makes Chiloé so special. Hint: it's the abundance of fresh seafood, the nature, the thousand year old UNESCO churches, the distinctive island & native culture, along with the best birdwatching in Chile, dolphins, temperate rainforest, a sunken forest you can take kayaks through, and a lot more.
Even with so much to do, Melissa makes her best attempt at the end of this episode to outline what you could do during a, very busy, day on Chiloé.
