Fritz Gepperth erklärt, dass Deutschland das einzige Land ist, in dem es staatliche Eingriffe ins Regelwerk des Schießsports gibt. Dies stellt eine große Herausforderung dar.

Welcome to our IPSC Podcast! In this episode we have a really very exciting guest. We talk about the situation in the German Shooting Sports Association and the current developments in the gun law. Our guest is Fritz Gepperth, President of the BDS and General Secretary of IPSC.
Fritz Gepperth explains that Germany is the only country where there is government intervention in the rules and regulations of the shooting sports. This represents a great challenge.
Gepperth talks about his many years as Regional Director of IPSC in Germany and the successful development of the sport. He also talks about the stresses and challenges of the position and the growing professionalization of the sport.
Gepperth emphasizes the increased use of online conferencing as secretary general of the world federation. He also mentions future developments in shooting sports and the growing importance of the Production Optics and possible Standard Optics Divisions. He also talks about the influx of shooters in different regions and the potential for further growth.
