Intro to Race for White People

Intro to Race for White People

Michael Caloz

This is not a political podcast. My goal is to explain a complex subject in a step-by-step way that's approachable to anyone.
People and politicians across the political spectrum have made mistakes, and the "callout culture" of publicly shaming people isn't helping. Bottom line: If you’re white, this is for you, no matter your political affiliation.
My goal is to guide you through the complex subject of race and racism with gentleness and without judgment. It's ok to have a lot of questions. It's ok to be confused about why this is all such a big deal for a lot of people. If you grew up in America, you probably weren't taught most of this. And that's ok—no judgment here.
I created this podcast to be approachable, non-political, and grounded in logic, evidence, and rational thought.
If you're looking for Race 101, this is a great place to start.
This podcast is like an audiobook where I read out loud my writing from https://www.michaelcaloz.com/race. You can follow along there if you'd like.
Thanks for listening!

This is not a political podcast. My goal is to explain a complex subject in a step-by-step way that's approachable to anyone. If you grew up in America, you probably weren't taught most of this. And that's ok—no judgment here. I want to help you understand what's going on in America right now (and for the past few hundred years, really) in as gentle and objective a way as possible.
