Ep 14 - The Greatest Podcast in Pop
Intro Skippers
05/13/25 • 40 min
The Greatest Night in Pop is all about We Are The World, the 1985 song for charity by Lionel Richie, Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Harry Belafonte, Diana Ross, Bob Dylan, Ray Charles, Tina Turner, Bruce Springsteen and so many more famous people. So many. Like it’s ridiculous.
This doc and the song are well worth your time; Kim and Jason talk about all the best and funniest moments of the footage.

Welcome to “Intro Skippers!” your favorite podcast about what’s streaming and the culture around it, presented by your friends with unique perspectives on entertainment, Kim and Jason!
Jason Charles Miller is a musician, music producer, TTRPG player, and award-winning voice actor and Kim Horcher is an award-winning journalist and host specialized in entertainment, video games, and tech. Together they’re two friends who really love entertainment and actively work in multiple aspects in that very industry!
In this first episode, we’re talking all about ‘What We Do In the Shadows,’ if the finale stuck the landing, and what vampire stories are all about. Is this a weird choice for a first episode? Yes! But we’ll explain why it makes perfect sense in the inaugural episode of Intro Skippers!
This episode was produced and edited by Kim Horcher and Jason Charles Miller. Music composed by Jason Charles Miller, because what? We’re gonna let Kim do it?

Ep 2 - The White Lotus Departures
Intro Skippers
02/25/25 • 63 min
On Episode 2 of Intro Skippers, we’re talking about The White Lotus! How can the show’s season finales from Season 1 (Maui) and Season 2 (Taormina) prepare us for how The White Lotus Thailand will end up? Is the show training us to have specific instincts and expectations, and is that a red herring in itself? Why do bad people never face real consequences??
Kim Horcher and Jason Charles Miller bring full reports of both season finales so far in preparation for a new prestige season of suspicions, character studies, and over the top action along with unfounded guesses about who will end up where by the time the Season 3 finale rolls around.
Grab a plate at the breakfast buffet, hunker down, and prepare to barely ever leave the resort with us in this episode of Intro Skippers!
This episode was produced and edited by Kim Horcher and Jason Charles Miller. Music composed by Jason Charles Miller, because, what? We’re gonna let Kim do it?

No normal episode this week because...we are busy! It happens, but to help fill the gap we are telling our true stories from trying to work in entertainment/performing arts. Basically, a lot of trial and error happens. David Lynch and Disneyland are involved today.

Ep 12 - Y2K
Intro Skippers
04/29/25 • 38 min
Y2K from Kyle Mooney, and starring Jaeden Martel, Rachel Zegler and FRED DURST brings the 00s nostalgia. And it was in theaters for only about 3 weeks, so, it’s primarily a streaming title!
What were you doing in Y2K (if you were alive)? Did this movie give you the memba berries?

Mythic Quest was cancelled on Apple TV Plus and to fix everything, they promised to redo their Season 4 finale to become a series finale. Except they didn’t. Was the finale a bomb? Is there potential for future shows to just patch over streaming shows? And what about the lost media?
Plus Jason and Kim discuss Side Quest, the video game focused anthology series tied to Mythic Quest and whether or not it could or should continue.

The Electric State: is it as bad as the reviews are saying? Netflix, The Russo Brothers, Millie Bobby Brown, and Chris Pratt join together in an extremely expensive direct-to streaming movie. Was the $320 million spent worth it?
Is it “not that bad?” Do the ends justify the means? And is a mediocre movie worse in principle than a very very bad one? Has Kim ever been angrier???
We are breaking down The Electric State today on Intro Skippers
And this should be obvious but: spoiler alert!!

Ep 5 - Heretic
Intro Skippers
03/18/25 • 40 min
Heretic was strangely able to be about religion, criticize religion, and yet didn’t receive any major pushback. Why do you think that was? We’ve got behind the scenes Heretic facts and really get into the point of the movie.
Did you have any personal revelations spurred on by the conversations and debates of Heretic? At what point did you realize it was time for the missionaries to run? And do you want some blueberry pie?

The giant earthquake in LA represents the end of awards season, and probably something about tectonic plates! We are talking about just a few highlights and lowlights of The Academy Awards 2025 before getting into one of its least-winning films, The Substance!
Was Demi Moore robbed? Is it all over for her? We have our answers as we discuss The Substance and The Oscars!
This episode was produced and edited by Kim Horcher and Jason Charles Miller. Music composed by Jason Charles Miller, because, what? We’re gonna let Kim do it?
