Robert G. Morgan
Mr. Morgan is the CEO of H Cycle, LLC – a hydrogen production company focused on converting waste to hydrogen with a fraction of the GHG emissions associate with traditional methods of hydrogen production and waste disposal. He has over 30 years of experience in global power markets, including more than 8 GW of project transactions worldwide representing more than $5 billion in value. He has been instrumental in building companies across the value chain, including development, construction, operations and manufacturing.
During the COVID pandemic he was a Senior Advisor with the private equity and infrastructure group at Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners.
From 2018-2020, Rob served as CEO of General Electric’s Energy Storage business where he had full P&L responsibility for that business unit, ranging from Product Development & Engineering to Construction & Operational support.
In previous roles, he served as Chief Development Officer and Chief Strategy Officer at RES Americas (2013-2016), President & Co-Founder at Agile Energy (2009-2013), and Founder and Chief Development Officer at Ausra (2006-2009), during which time he closed and constructed over 5 GW of projects.
Mr. Morgan began his career with almost 15 years at the AES Corporation (1989-2003), where he led business units as CEO/GM in Kazakhstan, Chile, and El Salvador, and developed projects in Hawaii, California, and Canada.
Mr. Morgan holds a B.A. in Economics and M.S. in Engineering from Stanford University. He is on the Emeritus Board of the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) and served on the board of Grid-Net, Inc. (2005-2018). Mr. Morgan is an advisor to Energy Exploration Technologies.
