Welcome to INHABIT!

I am so happy to bring you this deep, raw, juicy conversation with Monique Ruffin Monique is the host of Rise Radio (listen at 12radio.com)a mama, a powerful life coach, a professional writer/blogger, and a tremendously gifted astrologer.  Today Monique and I are exploring healing the relationships we have with our mothers, fathers, and our ancestors in order to give ourselves and our families the gifts of forgiveness and freedom.

I highly encourage you to check out the incredible courses Monique has created! I will be in the Finding Our Fathers course beginning June 6th, 2018 and I would love to have you join us!

In this episode:

* The beginning of Monique's exploration into her own motherhood, and the journey of her mother, and her grandmother to gain deeper understanding of her own experience

* What it means to see our parents as people, who have their own journeys

* There are tremendous possibilities that open up when we release the storieswe have about our parents and the circumstances of our childhood

* The energy of our parents is literally within us and we cannot escape it. To hold onto negative beliefs and feelings toward our parents is to be at war with ourselves

* The science of how the experiences of our mothers are transmitted through our cells into multiple generations

* The judgements we formed about our mothers become the judgements we make about all women

* The judgments we formed about our fathers become the judgements we make about all men

* The practicality of forgiveness as a gateway to FREEDOM

* What we believe about our mother is what we believe about god

* When we can identify what we believe, we can shift it

* What we believe about our mothers is intrinsically linked to the type of mothers we are, the relationships we have with other women, and the relationships we have with our own bodies

* To heal the relationship we have with the archetype of the Mother at the level of the heart and soul, we will heal the relationship we have to one another, to the Earth, and to life itself

* Our cultural awakening to our intrinsic power as creative beings

* Healing the shame we carry around the wrongs of our ancestors and choosing to forgive them

Today we are exploring whether or not it is the loving choice to rescue our loved ones from the consequences of their choices & actions.  I think this is an issue many women struggle with that leads to resentment, confusion, over-giving, & burnout.  I encourage you to listen, get radically honest with yourself, and explore how you are blocking the flow of love and wisdom in your life and the lives of your loved ones with your rescuing behavior. I really want to hear from you on this episode and have a conversation on this topic! Have you found yourself rescuing others from their own pain? Has anyone ever come between you and the consequences of your choices? What effect did this have on your life? On your relationship?

I am very excited to be bringing you a two part series on PRACTICING WITH BETRAYAL! The inspiration from this series was born out of thoughts I was having about the sticky situations in our lives. How do we practice self-care and wellness when we are in a tremendous amount of emotional pain, or conflict with people we care about? I realized that one of the most painful emotions I personally have ever experienced is BETRAYAL. I have found it incredibly freeing to know that there are ways to work with painful emotions such as betrayal so that we do not have to remain imprisoned in our pain. I hope you enjoy this series, and I would love to hear your insights and personal stories! PRACTICING WITH BETRAYAL - PART ONE I am so happy and thankful to introduce you to Karilily McClure. Karilily is a mama to 3 wonderful, wild children, wife and partner to her beloved hubby Joel, a yoga teacher, a student of life and spirituality, and she's also a business owner! Oshun Yoga Retreats offers amazing yoga/wellness/healing/cultural immersion retreats in beautiful destinations around the world. Join us for this extra long, vulnerable and deep conversation about betrayal that Kari experienced in a relationship; the reality of her pain, her process, and her healing.   In this episode: * Karilily's experience of falling in love & ignoring red flags * The experience of increasing criticism and negativity within her relationship * Kari's experience of damping down her inner voice while in this negative relationship * Her relationship really beginning to fracture when she started a new business that she was excited and passionate about. * Kari's experience of receiving messages from her intuition but allowing herself to be lied to, and believing she was wrong or even crazy * Her experience of trauma in childbirth, and then being put down by her partner about her body * Kari's insights into not hating the other woman * Feeling all the hard feelings without allowing hate to harden her heart * Healing by sitting naked on the Earth and being in nature * The moment Kari realized that SHE IS HER OWN FOUNDATION * Powerful reminders of healing, and good men, and happiness * The importance and beauty of scars * Reflection on what makes healthy relationships * The importance of women loving and honoring other women and treating them with respect and compassion, even in challenging circumstances
