Say Hello to Jan’a Sullivan - we had the honor to hear her story this week on Ignyte Your Why.
Jan’a was born and raised in Covington, Kentucky and is an alumnus of Holmes High School. At the age of 28, Ja’nae is a published author and a business owner. Growing up writing was an escape for Jan’a mentally. It allowed her to freely express herself and truly helped save her life.
Jan’a started off her career writing poetry, but then decided to switch to Urban Fiction. In 2014, she released her top series - Taking Wifey to The Grave” and a year later launch a sub company Jan’a Sullivan Presents under best-selling authors David Weaver and Shan.
To this date Jan’a has over 25 urban fiction books published including: Bella and Braxton: A Hood Love Story that landed on Amazon’s best sellers list! Fast forward to 2022, and Jan’a is now transitioning into screen writing and working on turning her books into film.
During this conversation, we learn all about Mrs. Sullivans journey to becoming a published author and the obstacles she has faced throughout her life. Most importantly, we figure out what ignites her why.
