When Pravina, my first guest, sent me the Instagram profile of this hijabi pole dancer, I knew I had to interview her. A quick look at her profile led me to her video with The Try Guys. We all know how famous these guys are so even though I sent her a message on Instagram for an interview I didn't think she would see the message let alone getting back to me. AND I was wrong. You'll never know until you try. Her name is Neda.

Neda is a nurse practitioner living in Los Angeles, California. When she is not in the clinic, she is in the pole studio. Her passion for dance started 2 and a half years ago, and it has become her creative outlet and her biggest source of strength.

If I Did, You Can Too - 00 Introduction

00 Introduction

If I Did, You Can Too

play

08/15/21 • 2 min

Hi. This is Viv and you are reading the introduction of my new show "If I Did, You Can Too".

Since day one the only thing that could make me motivated and give me the push that I needed to start or continue moving forward was listening to people who made it from scratch. People who wanted something and no matter how hard life was on them they kept on going until they made it. Those inspiring beautiful stories were my fuel. They kept me going. Hearing the stories of real-life people made me think 'She/he did it. It's ok. I can do it too. Every single day one step closer and one day I will be like them.'

I have been blessed with knowing many of these inspiring people in person and having them in my life as my friends so I decided to share their stories with you guys as well on this podcast. Every single episode is going to be that one story you need to give you that extra push to keep going.

So what are you waiting for? Hit the subscription button and let's get inspired every other Wednesday.

This story is for the ones who feel like they don't belong and are constantly searching for freedom. Her name is Ghazale Motia.

If I Did, You Can Too - 18 Daron The Armenian War Photojournalist

This episode's guest was the first person that I felt close to in my new workplace almost 2 years ago. A funny, smart guy that you knew you can always count on but when the 2020 Armenia - Azerbaijan war happened the funny part was gone. He has told his side of the war story here in this episode. His name is Daron Titizian.

In the last couple of decades, Armenia has gone through a lot of turbulent times and Daron has always been there to document it at all as a photojournalist. More recently during the 2020 war in which Azerbaijan attacked Artsakh (an Armenian enclave), while others would flee from a dangerous situation, Daron flew back to Armenia and traveled to the war-torn region to provide media coverage for EVN Report. He wanted to show the world what was happening to his country and to his people. This was the best way he felt he could contribute.
