A podcast dedicated to low stakes deep dives into pop culture led by Marcy, a middle-aged, multimedia casual consumer. She is joined by her chosen brother Paul as they discuss science fiction and post apocalyptic TV/Movies. They recently reviewed HBO’s The Last of Us and Avatar the Last Airbender on Netflix. They are now eager to begin discussing the TV show Fallout on Amazon Prime.
Marcy and Paul have been friends and occasional roommates for over 20 years. This means that they've spent countless hours sitting on a couch together watching TV and playing video games. Both of us love books and science, so most episodes include those things. We'd love for you to join us on our cushy couch! Spoilers are expected with this show.

Marcy and Paul discuss the movie length first episode of the The Last of Us. The episode starts with a break down of scenes that remind the hosts of the video game, Which includes a moment where Joel's brother Tommy gets a very special nick name! Followed by a discussion of what the TV Show Series did better than the game and where the episode fell a little short of expectations. Many references to other pop culture books, shows, and movies can be found in the colorful conversation between these two hosts.

Left Behind is an episode composed primarily of a flashback to Ellie's first love and loss. Paul and Marcy do a lot of awing over this adorable episode. They also discuss how they hate being pranked, which naturally comes with some good prank stories. Experience their disappointment at Ellie's tragic inability to hold on to happy moments. They also continue to be impressed with the show runners dedication to staying true to the video game, while adding new depth to this amazing story.

This was an amazing episode of The Last of Us! Kin really delves deep into the meaning of family. Paul and I clue into some foreshadowing for the upcoming episodes, discuss the importance of dogs and horses in the apocalypse, and continue to hone our imaginary NPCs. There is also lots of tears as Joel opens up to Tommy about his weaknesses and Marcy describes the Journey of Joel's softening. Don't miss this emotional and poignant episode.
