Opening song: New Season by Nadiiife
Closing song: Everybody's Safe Until... by Paris Texas

Welcome to the season 7 premier of the I Want to Believe podcast! We have a special guest co-host with us today... they are the creator of Kiwi’s Cryptid World, they are an artist and photographer and turns out... they are also the love of my life. Her name is Christina. Tonight, our story starts in Bulgaria and ends in the cosmos.
Baba Vanga was a Bulgarian woman who lost her sight as a child. In 1923, at 12 years old, Vanga claimed that she was caught in a tornado and thrown into a field. After the storm, she could not be located and her family assembled a search party. After nearly 72 hours, Vanga was found.
She was frightened, bruised and covered in dirt. She was cleaned and doctors addressed her superficial wounds but they found that she could not open her eyes. Vanga told them that her eyes hurt and felt as if there was sand and dirt inside of them.
She claimed that she had her first vision during that storm. She eventually lost her sight over the following years. Her visions of the future became stronger during those years as well.
Over time, she became world renowned for her accurate predictions which included the death of Hitler, Stalin, the Kennedy brothers, and numerous presidential elections.
With this episode, we'll tell you about her life, her past predictions and what she said is in store for us for 2024 and beyond.
Thanks so much for listening!

Welcome to season 7, episode 4 of the I Want to Believe podcast!
Robert Michael Pyle, the bearded lepidopterist who stole our hearts with his seminal work, Where Bigfoot Walks, is a man of many talents and pursuits. He is, of course, an author... but also a naturalist, a professor, a poet, he has been a husband, and now a widower.
In 2020, he was lovingly portrayed by actor David Cross in the movie The Dark Divide. With special co-host Christina, we’ll be discussing the life and adventures of one of cryptozoology’s most unexpected proponents.

Paula Barreau woke up on October 7, 1992 like any other morning. While getting ready for work, she could hear her 12-year old daughter Rhianna eating breakfast and watching TV. When Paula was in the kitchen drinking coffee Rhianna asked her if she could walk to the newsstand to pick up a Christmas card for her pen pal. Paula agreed to this as she trusted her daughter and knew the neighborhood to be safe. When Paula returned home from work, Rhianna was gone.

I Want to Believe the Podcast – S3 E5 – The Bat Beast of Kent
Welcome to the I Want to Believe podcast! What do you get when it’s the early 1960s, you have 4 British teens and a UFO sighting? Well, it has nothing to do with the Beatles... we’ll let ya know in a sec...
But first!! A quick reminder that ALL of our I Want to Believe social media & email are below. ALSO you can watch my documentary, Otherworldly Amor on Amazon Prime right now, DVDs are available. Ok... let's find out more about the Bat Beast of Kent...
On the evening of November 16, 1963, 17-year old John Flaxton, 18-year old Mervyn Hutchinson and two other younger friends were walking on Sandling Road in the county of Kent — Kent is a county in South East England, it borders Greater London to the north-west, Surrey to the west and East Sussex to the south-west. The county also shares borders with Essex along the estuary of the River Thamesa. It has also been said that the region is-quote, “apparently rife with cryptozoological and paranormal activity”.

So... what the fuuuuuuck, everybody?? A pandemic, stay at home orders maybe coming to an end, maybe not, protesters, the president rallying every night, disinfectant injections... and that’s just the tip of the iceberg... You don’t really need my comments; just want everyone to stay safe and healthy. If you’re an essential worker or in the medical industry in any way... be safe and know that you’re loved.
Alright, let’s move on...
Sitting between the cities of Los Angeles and West Hollywood is Beverly Hills. Starting as a humble Spanish lima bean ranch back in the early 1900s, the city has gone on to blossom and be glamorized, held up as a shimmering place of movie stars, models, and the image of wealth and opulence. It is a place of palm trees, sun, and stars, but it also holds some rather eerie pieces of lore, and one of those is a place that is said to be possibly infused with dark, insidious forces that lash out to claim victims... listen to the episode to find out more.

I Want to Believe the Podcast – S3 Bonus Episode 4 | The 1884 UFO Crash at Dundy County
Sources: Only In Your State | Nebraska.gov
Welcome to the I Want to Believe podcast, I’m Nomar Slevik. June 6, 1884... something otherworldly happened in Nebraska...
But first!! A quick reminder that ALL of our I Want to Believe social media & email are in the show notes. You can watch my documentary, Otherworldly Amor on Amazon Prime right now, DVDs are available. ALSO I have a new book that we are trying to get funded for self publishing. It is called Granite Skies: A Disconcerted Journey Through the Unknown. A GoFundMe link for that book and everything else is below. Alright... it’s time to talk about the 1884 Dundy County UFO Crash.
A lot of interesting things happened in the year 1884. For example, On May 1st 1884 the dreaded 8-hour work day was first proclaimed by the Federation of Organized Trades and Labor Unions. It was then known as May-Day, we now call it Labor Day (and moved to the beginning of September.) On May 17, Alaska became a US Territory. On August 5th, the cornerstone for the Statue of Liberty was laid. The first recorded photograph of a tornado was taken on August 28, 1884 by an F.N. Robinson in South Dakota and on November 4th, Grover Cleveland won the election for the President of the United States. But one event that you won’t read about in history books or found on a Wikipedia page for historic events for 1884 is an often-overlooked story in the history of Ufology. Its about a UFO crash... listen to the episode for the full story.

UFOs... well, that topic has been all over mainstream media lately, including a recent government report from the OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR OF NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE released on June 25, 2021.
In part, the report states that it is an, “...intelligence assessment of the threat posed by unidentified aerial phenomena and the progress the Department of Defense Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force (UAPTF) has made in understanding this threat.”
So, what does that have to do with Patton Oswalt? Kyle will get to that.
My book, Granite Skies: A Disconcerted Journey Through the Unknown is NOW AVAILABLE for purchase at The Green Hand Bookshop in Portland, Maine (and online). You can also get it on Amazon, Kindle or a personalized signed copy can be obtained from my online store. Everything can be found at allmylinks.com/slevik OR just click the link from the show notes.
