Are you feeling optimistic about the new year? In our latest podcast episode, we discuss our observations on the current business environment, the importance of purpose and partnerships, and how to achieve success in the current climate.

Despite media reports of a cost of living crisis and a potential recession, we share our positive experiences of businesses having money to invest in the right places and the opportunities available for those who partner with the right organizations. We also note a shift in mindset towards seeking partnerships rather than competing with other companies.

We believe that purpose and partnerships are important factors in achieving success in the current business environment. Jonathan adds that he has been working with groups of people who have a strong sense of purpose, which he believes is crucial for success. Overall, we are optimistic about the opportunities available and encourage businesses to push their foot down on the accelerator rather than being risk-averse.

We also discuss the importance of transparency, authenticity, and flexibility in partnerships. Circumstances are too dynamic to stick to a rigid action plan, and it's essential to be able to adapt to changes. We also share our experiences of working with partners who share similar values and outlooks, and how it's crucial to have a gut instinct and connection with potential partners.

We wrap up the episode by sharing our gratitudes and recommendations for the month. We discuss the importance of finding purpose and passion in one's work and recommend some great TV shows, films, and technical tips.

Our gratitudes then revolve around tv:

Collaboration over Competition: Shifting the mindset to create a stronger business

In this episode, the team chat about the importance of connecting with people professionally, creating synergy and forging genuine relationships based on trust through meaningful collaboration. As well as the sentiment behind the change of season and the fresh start this can give us to think differently this year.

We explore how being deliberate with those who share the same values and approaches allows us to thrive in business. Connecting with those who are in a similar professional position as you, sharing solutions to professional struggles and challenges. The team chat about pushing themselves out of their comfort zone by learning new skills and collaborating with other professionals to strengthen their own skill set.

We talk about the importance of being open to these relationships and how to create meaningful connections. How to identify what tools and expertise we have as a business, and then how these can benefit other people. How to look inwardly first and think about what can we bring to these relationships rather than what we can get out of it.
This month we're joined by Georgie Cooke from Lima Delta. Lima Delta are a digital learning company that help L&D teams level up their digital learning through amazing design solutions.

In this episode of "I Love It Here," we dive into a variety of topics related to making life and work a better experience for everyone. We start by sharing what we are grateful for, with Jonathan talking about his new electric bike, Paul mentioning his daughter's hard work and upcoming holidays and Caleb discussing a great conversation he recently had with Dominic Monkhouse.
Dominic talks about the importance of helping businesses and organizations get clarity on their vision for the future. He emphasizes the need for businesses to have a systematic process to improve continually and become the best in their industry. Jonathan and Paul discuss the importance of playing to win and constantly driving towards success, rather than just protecting what you already have. They also touch on the idea of culture and how it can be difficult to define, but ultimately comes down to people caring and taking pride in their work.
Dominic shares a story about hiring a software developer who asked if anyone would shout at him during the interview. This led to a discussion about the importance of having high expectations and a clear mission in the workplace. We also discuss the qualities of a good leader and the impact of clear expectations and regular praise.
We end the episode by discussing our current interests and recommendations for TV shows, games, and other forms of entertainment. We also touch on the importance of taking breaks and finding ways to stimulate the mind and body.
