I’m BACK! That’s right. Back with weekly wisdom for you to listen to while sitting in traffic, folding your laundry, or doing some steady state cardio.

And I want to kick off the month of September by talking about being Confidently YOU.

You see, I love teaching and training others how to get what they want.

I’ve gravitated towards leadership since I was little girl. I like paving the way. I like the challenge of setting out towards an intimidating vision. I like the responsibility of making decisions.

Bigger influence = bigger impact.

Bigger impact = bigger income.

Because I believe anyone can build influence, throughout the last five years of leading a large organization in the direct sales industry, I continually search for ways myself and my team can grow in this area. I’ve often pondered, “why is it that some people start their business with a ton of influence already resulting in quick success- and some people really struggle getting it off the ground..?”

It’s not just about likability. I’ve met many lovely, sweet, kind people who have very little influence.

It is much more about the decisions you’ve made up until this point in your life. You can’t do anything about the past. But what you can do is choose- starting today- to commit to growing your influence with these 3 keys:

1. Confidence.

Low self-esteem is easy to spot and will cost you. Whatever it is that may be holding you back from believing you were called to greatness and you matter- whatever it is that is keeping you from walking with faith in your authentic self and your vision- needs to be handled in order to increase your influence.

Here are 5 ways to immediately be more confident:

1. Set s small goal and take the first step.

2. Empower yourself with knowledge.

3. De-clutter your life.

4. Choose friends wisely.

5. Positive affirmations.

2. Courage.

You need to stand for something. Wishy-washy is just so not inspiring. At all. But standing for something can be scary. It means...you don’t stand for something else. And there will be people who disagree with you. There’s no way around this- you must have courage to stand for what you believe in and share it with the world. This doesn’t mean to post obnoxious facts and figures about whatever it is you stand for. I don’t blast statistics about network marketing all over my social media even though I believe it is the best opportunity for someone who wants a freedom based lifestyle.

So how do you stand for something with courage and class? Share your story. Share why a product, a platform, a book, a policy, a quote, an article- means something to you. This will attract the right people. Your homies who get it and get you. And that’s who you want to build in your circle of influence.

3. Consistency.

Your message- and you- must be stable. Stability builds trust. Being consistent with your word, consistent with your schedule, consistent with your ATTITUDE- it all matters. People are craving consistency in who they follow because it is so hard to find it in our ADD culture. So many ideas, so many shiny objects, so many distractions. When you are consistent, you stand out among the rest.
