Ted Shorter is the chief technology officer and co-founder at Keyfactor. Responsible for Keyfactor’s intellectual property development efforts, Ted helps align Keyfactor’s focus with the changing security landscape, ensuring clients understand the importance of crypto-agility. Ted has worked in the security arena for over 25 years, in the fields of cryptography, public key infrastructure (PKI), authentication and authorization and software vulnerability analysis. His past experience includes 10 years at the National Security Agency, a master’s degree in computer science from The Johns Hopkins University and an active CISSP certification.

Stefan works for the Internet Security Team at German company DATEV eG. Having started with computers and starting to be puzzled by reality in the 80s, he started out as a programmer in the early 90s. Since 2000 he has been securing networks and computers for various enterprises in Germany and Scotland.
His main focus nowadays is raising security awareness, coming up with creative solutions to security problems and discussing new ideas concerning threat mitigation. When not trying to do any of that, he is either traveling, procrastinating or trying to beat some hacking challenge. Following graduation from the Royal Air Force (RAF) Collage Cranwell Nick has over 30 years senior leadership and executive management experience, mainly in the technical and intelligence environments internationally.
As a Royal Air Force Officer, his time was mainly spent in Military Intelligence and included serving with the British Army.
After leaving the RAF he grew an Intelligence training organization embedded with RSAF intelligence. On return to the UK in 2001 joined General Dynamics as Data and Information Fusion (DIF) DTC Programme Director.
Nick founded GridSmart Limited, a tracking and location service company in 2006. In early 2016 he started GordAlex Limited the Advisory and Technology company specialising in Security, Transformation and Innovation.
He has also been an advisor to a specialist group head in MoD and other government organizations including CNI.
