Yes, that is a real amount, but full transparency it wasn't in one year! This isn't a flex about money, instead it is a story to provide insight and hopefully some inspiration.
As we approach the 5th anniversary of our wedding photography & videography business we decided to reflect on the crazy journey we have been on and discuss all the highs and lows of starting a business, learning how to be photographers and filmmakers and trying to balance everything life throws at you!
When we first started shooting weddings we had zero experience in professional photo / video, we had never worked in the wedding industry and we had never worked in a business environment or started a business. We discuss all of the things we learnt, the highs and lows we experienced, discuss what we would do differently and openly share the leads, bookings and revenues we were able to generate.
This is the first half of what will be a 2 part podcast, because as you will hear a lot has happened in those 5 years!

On episode 14 of the podcast I am talking with Nick Doyle, a personal trainer and nutrition coach based in Yorkshire. Poor physical and mental health is probably the biggest threat to our personal lives and our businesses and I know from personal experience how easy it is to ignore exercise and have a bad diet because of work commitments and not prioritising time for our own wellbeing.

This is possibly the most important topic we have discussed on the podcast and we discuss practical steps and strategies we can take to change mindset and approach towards health and fitness so that it becomes part of our daily lives rather than a chore.
Nick is a really likeable and laid back character, but he is super committed at whatever he puts his mind to, and I can see how much effort he puts into helping his clients work towards whatever they want to achieve, whether it is fat loss or performance gains.

On episode 7 of the Wedding Mavericks podcast I am providing a little bit of extra bonus content for anyone who is feeling a little bit lost or low at the moment and looking for the motivation and support to take back control of their wedding business.
