The 40-ish Detox with Dr Mantravadi
HOT For Your Health
04/29/21 • 22 min
Welcome back to HOT for your Health! In the next episodes Dr Wright is joined by experts to talk about being 40-ish!! and How to make 40 the new 25 only HAPPIER, RICHER, STRONGER & WISER
The 40th birthday is more than a milestone; it’s the beginning of an incredibly crucial decade in almost every aspect of our lives.
It's time to get our SH-T together.
We don’t want to be 20 again. And we don’t think many of our friends do, either! Instead, we want to apply all that hard-earned wisdom to where we are now – contemplating or enjoying our 40s. Some women start thinking about 40 the day after their 35th birthday. For others it sneaks up, lost among work and family and the chaos of life, until....OMG! Here we are.
In this episode of HOT for your Health Dr Wright is joined by Pediatrician and entrepreneur, Manasa Mantravadi, MD who covers the critical topic of the 40-ish Detox! Dr Mantravadi will touch on how to remove chemical from our environment with specific emphasis on toxins from plastics and her solution to this problem for our families.
Dr. Manasa Mantravadi, a board-certified pediatrician, mom of 3 young kids and an Indian immigrant ... grew up using stainless steel at the dining table. After making the mistake of buying plastic dinnerware - her mother stepped in concerned about the dangers of plastics. Grandma soon replaced the cupboards with traditional Indian steel dishes. 5 years later, the AAP backed grandma's concerns with science, publishing that certain chemicals can interfere with a child's hormones, growth and development. Discussing this policy statement with her fellow pediatrician moms, Dr. Mantravadi quickly realized there were no great options for parents. So, Ahimsa was born – a perfect mix of her love for children, background in medicine and Indian heritage.
