Valentine is a 2001 slasher film directed by Jamie Blanks and starring Denise Richards, David Boreanaz, Marley Shelton, Jessica Capshaw, and Katherine Heigl. Loosely based on the novel of the same title by Tom Savage, the film follows a group of women in San Francisco who are stalked by a killer wearing a Cupid mask in the days leading up to Valentine's Day.

Andy Conduit-Turner is joined by Dear David director John McPhail to discuss the film which premieres October 13th!

John McPhail is a Scottish film director and screenwriter. In 2017, he directed Anna & The Apocalypse, a Christmas zombie musical film. His new film Dear David is inspired by / based on the Twitter thread from 2017. It's based on the story by artist Adam Ellis, about a boy who begins haunting him at his apartment.

Shortly after comic artist Adam (Augustus Prew) responds to internet trolls on social media, he begins experiencing sleep paralysis — while an empty rocking chair moves in the corner of his apartment. As he chronicles increasingly malevolent occurrences in a series of tweets, Adam begins to believe he is being haunted by the ghost of a dead child named David.

Thanksgiving is a 2023 American slasher film directed by Eli Roth, from a screenplay written by Jeff Rendell and a story by Roth and Rendell, who produced with Roger Birnbaum.

It is based on Roth's mock trailer of the same name from Grindhouse (2007). It is the fourth feature-length film to be adapted from one of the mock trailers in Grindhouse after Robert Rodriguez's Machete (2010), the sequel Machete Kills (2013) and Jason Eisener's Hobo with a Shotgun (2011).

The film stars Patrick Dempsey, Addison Rae, Milo Manheim, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Nell Verlaque, Rick Hoffman, and Gina Gershon.

After a Black Friday riot ends in tragedy, a mysterious Thanksgiving-inspired killer terrorizes Plymouth, Massachusetts - the birthplace of the infamous holiday.
