(NSFW) This week the boys find themselves back at Wren after two long years! Last time they talked to Luke, and he hoped that the 16oz can format would take off. They discuss how that went (we think pretty well) and get a post anniversary update on how everything went for their 4th Anniversary. How their success over the past four years has helped them replace crappy brewing equipment. They touch base on the rumor of a new offsite lager facility. They double down on classic styles with their recently announced Lager Celebration with some heavy hitters coming to town. On top of that Drew and Luke take a run at the infamous “rapid round”.

Hoppy Craftsmen - Arizona Craft Beer Podcast

play

06/27/19 • 47 min

(NSFW or HCPC) Since Ed is over seas drinking copious amounts of Guinness. Nate, Jeff and Chris decided to crash the patio at The Sleepy Whale. They gush over what is on tap at this new craft beer destination in downtown Chandler. Including some big hitters like Bottle Logic, Pueblo Vida, and their own collaboration with Arizona Wilderness called Into the Whalederness They talk about the next upcoming craft beer bar in downtown Phoenix from the master minds behind The Wandering Tortoise, Sleepy Whale, and Hops on Birch called the The Roosevelt. Nate tricks Jeff and Chris with a Cellarmaker IG image that should be an hazy dream but it is not. They talk about up coming Hoppy Craftsmen trips, including Rowley and maybe Boston. Also, they create a new beer name. This time called Friends with Crust, please leave your comments about what kind of beer that might be. Then some on-the-air blendary of to create a one of kind sour stout. Sadly, they did not have a name for that one, missed opportunity. Enjoy!

New Brew Review is a bi-weekly bonus podcast. Each episode a new reviewer from the world of craft beer will try a new brew they have never had before and share what they think of it with you in a bonus podcast. As the reviewer should be trying a new beer, and recording at the same time we hope to capture a very honest review. Not what they hoped it would be or thought it should be. As a note the review does not necessarily reflect those of the Hoppy Craftsmen, but are those of the reviewer.

HCPC63: Dark Sky Brewing 4 Years and 4 Hundred Beers

Hoppy Craftsmen - Arizona Craft Beer Podcast

play

05/16/19 • 92 min

(NSFW) A road trip north to party with one of the best breweries in the state — Dark Sky Brewing celebrates their 4th anniversary! We sit down with Ryan and Nick the day after to figure out if we have a hang over or if it’s just altitude sickness. We establish a few things, first send all your mayo pictures to Ryan, and second there is no basement at DSB. Then since it is Nicks first time on the show, we put him through our infamous not-so-rapid round. We go over the past, present, beer, food, pizza, dogs and what is to come — we cover it all. Hope you have as much fun listening as we had recording this hung over.

HCPC71: Goldwater Brewing Low Floc and RR Brewing Pickletown Lager

Hoppy Craftsmen - Arizona Craft Beer Podcast

play

10/25/19 • 79 min

(NSFW) Ed and Chris spend some time figuring out the new gear that our patrons helped buy us. So big thanks to them for sure. They do this in the newly formed HCPC Lab Studio. We go over the band that gave us the music your hear and how it holds to true to us. They deep into a few Goldwater beers, and choke down an amazing pickle lager from Chris' "recent" trip to North Carolina. Eddie has Chris guess what the brewery is by reading titles from a local new publication. As a side note Eddie says he'll do stand up if the patron supporters meet a goal. Lets make that happen!
