Finding your gifts while serving others
03/17/21 • 14 min
Sometimes our greatest gifts awaken through service of others.
Since 1964, Betsy Wallingford has been discovering hers at St.E’s.
From helping in the church nursery as a young mother of three boys, to recently coordinating coffee hour and the annual Dickens Christmas Dinner, Betsy treasures her spiritual home.
Today she adorns the sanctuary alongside the flower guild, and is honored to be a Eucharistic Minister.
“A lot of people have talent they don’t know they have until they’re asked to present it,” Betsy says. “You find within yourself the ability to do something you didn’t know you could do. And that’s a real gift.”
