Hoops Southbound

The aristocracy of college basketball arrive for their annual meeting at the Champions Classic. As the old saying goes, "The season starts here!" And Kentucky will get their first big test of the year against the Kansas Jayhawks. We're also going to see rivalries and our first MTE's of the year. It’s a massive week in college basketball and one of the first big events of the early season. We're joined by Dave Shumate from Mock 10 Sports today on the Hoops Southbound Show.

We now live in the age of the transfer portal. Love it or hate it, there’s no escaping it, its the world of college sports today. And this offseason, the SEC has loaded up with new faces and some old faces. Who are the top 5 transfers coming to the SEC to the season. Plus, and while the transfer portal has created a whole new dimension to the landscape of college sports. New rules this season have some players sweating it out, and waiting to see if the NCAA if will let them play. We’ll dive into that situation and how it’ll impact SEC basketball this year.
