What is more spine-chilling, blood-curdling, and alliterative than spooky skeletons, ghastly ghouls, and zoophagous (look it up) zombies? Answer: HoopleCast's third entry in its series of unnecessary commentary tracks for Timothy Olyphant movies! In celebration of All Hallows Eve, Claire and Tammy of Calavicci FashionCast are here to blabberwocky their way through The Crazies, a remake of the George A. Romero film and prequel to Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. (Or, Galaxy of the Guardians, if you're Matt and don't know movie titles.) As neighbor turns pitchfork against neighbor, our heroes Timothy Olyphant and perennial "oh, that guy" Joe Anderson, fight to survive against whatever is making the people of the very barn-heavy town of Ogden Marsh, Iowa go supes crazy. Hence, the title. | Tags: They Cling To Their Baseball Mitts And Their Guns (America In A Nutshell), InfoWars: The Musical, Sorry, Timothy Olyphant Is Doing Carpentry, Apocalyptic Hellscape Movie (AKA America 2017), Get These Motherfuckin' Crazies Outta My Motherfuckin' Town, That Fetus Is Out of Control, Enough With The Twin Peaks References, Truck Full Of Bowling Balls Or Truck Full Of Babies, Disney World Would Blow Their Barn Minds, The United States of America Hereby Extends An Open Invitation To Claire To Visit One Of Its Many Fine Car Washes, Sort Your Face Out, Jennifer Garner. | Send feedback to [email protected]. The hoopleheads return to the camp for what is likely a final reconnoiter as they revisit the premiere of the series what done brought em to this here place to begin it: Deadwood (2004). It's a thrill being back in The Black Hills with our dear friends, many of whom are looking younger and less deceased than last we met: Tim Driscoll, Ned Mason, the family of the fivehead, that horse thief who gave us our signature sign-off... For a far more exhaustive discussion of this brilliant hour of television, go back and listen to our original podcast, recorded 987 days prior when Matt, Mel, and Carol didn't know a sluice from a rocker box. But first, in a surprise installment of Readers Theatre, Russell briefs us on camp business, including an alarm of fire and the suicide of Prospect Marquette by arsenic. (18:58-1:27:53) ... Then, we travel even further back in time to Rome (2005). Someone has purloined Julius Caesar's battle standard in Gaul, and reluctant bros Vorenus and Pullo of the 13th Legion are tasked with its recovery. Along their mission they encounter snot-nosed Kid Exposition, who helpfully explains Roman politics to Host Matt, whose attention wandered during the scene in which the white guys in robes were talking. (So, all the scenes.) This episode of the podcast is sponsored by 23andme. Send them your spit in a tube, and unlock the secrets of your DNA. You might be a secret Ubian! (1:27:54-2:35:22) ... Also, Aviation: And People Who Are Good At It, Game of Thrones, I Know This Much Is True, Who Fears Death, Room 104, The Deuce, and Utopia. (0-18:57) | Send feedback to [email protected]. Episode One. It's finally here. The pilot episode of Deadwood. Carol, Matt H & Mel are escorted through the outlaw camp by veteran viewer Matt A. We meet ex-Marshall Seth Bullock and his business partner, Sol Star... legends Calamity Jane & Wild Bill Hickok... nefarious saloon proprietor Al Swearengen, plus his various whores and goons... There's also a dandy, an addict, a too-earnest reverend, and a drunk with a droopy eye who remains unimpressed. Deals are made. Schemes are hatched. Folks are hanged, stabbed, shot, hacked and spread around... some are even fed to pigs. Shit, man. It's fucking Deadwood and it can be combative. ... Episode Two. Stephanie of PotentialCast joins us to discuss "Deep Water" an episode featuring gross people doing gross things, like urinating in chamber pots, urinating in chaps, urinating on the sides of buildings... It's altogether disgusting. So, naturally our podcast devolves into a discussion of condoms (informative!) and colonoscopies (not informative), but not before we address the heart-warming tale of a saloon keeper who plots to murder a little orphan girl. ...
