Home Space and Reason - Episode 8b | Special Video edition | Creating a Family Annual
play

10/28/19 • 17 min

This is a special VIDEO edition as an augmentation to Episode 8 of the Home Space and Reason Podcast about Managing Sentimental Things. When I was in the editing process of Ep8, I realized that the portion in which I talk about creating a family annual could be both exciting and extraordinarily intimidating to many people. And because I'm a visual person, I started to think about how helpful it would be if I did a bonus Podcast in video form - and so here it is.

.

The beauty of a Family Annual is that it can contain sentimental things in a hardcover book form that you might otherwise be tempted to keep like concert tickets, report cards, soccer team photos etc.  With this method, they can all be documented in this book and the originals don’t need to be kept and organized.  THEY CAN ADD UP over time, eventually requiring a lot of space and energy in organizing!  It also gives me peace of mind that if my home burned down to the ground or flooded up to the windows, I could reorder these books and all is not lost.  It’s an insurance policy of sorts for your memories!
