Cass is the executive director of American Compass, a heterodox conservative think tank that looks at how our economy can or should be restructured to support family, industry, and the nation-state. He is also the author of a book, The Once and Future Worker: A Vision for the Renewal of Work in America.
Cass and Stepman talked about how economics and culture intertwine, the future of the right and left with regard to economic issues, and the pressures on working- and middle-class American families. They also debate a bit about the democratic accountability lines of the education system.
