Daily Discipleship will begin December 26th, and will feature 5-7 minute episodes geared towards helping you ponder the deeper doctrines of Come, Follow Me.
It is our prayer that this new series will be a blessing to you as you strive to liken the scriptures, and prepare for the return of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

With the holiday season upon us, the Latter-day Disciples are once again orchestrating the 2nd annual Secret Savior's project! Please help us by nominating your friends and family in need, or donating any amount. We aim to anonymously gift 20 families with $500 worth of gifts/groceries/cash. Please join us in our efforts to provide relief and love this Christmas season.

Ep. 47 | Misalignment Between Spouses on the Spiritual Journey, with McKay Farner

Meghan is joined today by her husband, McKay, for this special episode! One of the observations we have made this year is how rare it is for spouses to be in lock-step on the spiritual path. Much more often, one spouse is ahead / behind the other. In this episode, the couple share their experiences throughout their relationship and how they have both relied on the Lord to create additional unity in their marriage. Topics include:

- Humility, Communication, and a Willingness to Change
- Adjusting Our Perception of the Doctrine of Marriage and Sealing

Mckay Farner is originally from Colorado. He and Meghan dated in high school previous to his serving a mission in Bacolod Philippines. The two were engaged 5 days after he returned home, and were married three months later.
Mckay graduated from Brigham Young University - Idaho with a degree in Communications, emphasis in Public Relations. He then went on to become a real estate agent serving the East Idaho region. He is currently a Seminary student teacher with the hope of being offered a full-time Seminary teaching job in 2023. He is a Priests Quorum Advisor and absolutely loves working with the young men.
Mckay and Meghan have 3 adorable kiddos.

The Secret Saviors Project!
Our goal is to give you, our fellow disciples, the opportunity to serve as “saviours on Mount Zion” to the families and individuals our community knows, who are in need this holiday season.
Here are two ways that you can participate:

Nominate a Need: Submit the name(s) of individuals and families you know who could use a special blessing this holiday, whether that be in the form of cash, grocery money, gas money, Christmas gifts, medical expense coverage, or another need!
Donate to the Secret Saviors Project Fund: Your humble offerings will allow the us to administer relief for many of our brothers and sisters in need.

Our goal is to collect $2500 between now and December 18th, to serve 5 nominees in need. To participate, please go to the Secret Saviors Project page on our website.

Meghan is pleased to share Tony Aguilar's story in this unique episode. Topics Include:

Tony Aguilar is a 2nd generation Filipino American. He had discovered throughout the years that his upbringing was filled with a variety of traumas including coming from a broken family, having a father in prison for 25 years off-and-on before passing away from addiction, struggling through school, sexual molestation, experimenting with illegal drugs, etc.
Tony allowed God to enter his story in 2002, and never turned back! He was baptized in 2006, married in the temple to his best friend, and is the father of 2 precious little girls.
Tony's goals are to help children who have come from a similar background as he has, and to build and uplift the family unit. He graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in 2019 with a BA in Sociology and was accepted to multiple Social Work Programs to start the fall of 2020 prior to Covid. He put that education on hold to instead teach and care for his children during the pandemic. His goal is to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and start a non profit in my local town of Pomona, although he is open to God having other plans for him.

You can participate in two ways:
1. By submitting nominations of families and individuals you know in need
2. By donating to the Secret Saviors Project. 100% of collected funds will be used to bless select nominees, with gifts coming in the form of Christmas presents, grocery cards, gas cards, cash, etc.
