How do you use your podcast to grow your business?
Podcasting is such a great tool! I will be launching my podcast soon, but I have had the privilege of helping my clients find success with their podcasting and there are so many benefits.

First of all, podcasting is a great way to connect with 1:1 clients. When people know what you do and who you are, the likelihood of getting leads on autopilot is much greater. By creating online influence through your podcast, you will be able to reach people you may never have connected with otherwise.

Leveraging collaborations is such a great way to grow! Cross promoting each other is a great way to benefit both parties, as each person has the opportunity to reach a new audience that might be interested in their services.

Not only are you creating brand awareness by starting a podcast, but you will be networking in order to bring on guests which in itself will serve you. As you bring on more guests and become more successful, the word will spread.

What three takeaways you can give to the listeners?

1. You are more powerful than you know. STOP doubting yourself. Stop playing safe. Get real, get vulnerable, and let the world get to know you. We crave the human connection, and that is exactly what podcasting provides. Create that like, know, and trust factor by being REAL and sharing it via audio.
2. Keep it interesting! There is nothing worse than pouring time and energy into content that misses the mark and doesn’t get results. When you are working on your podcast, ask yourself “Does this make me feel something?”

If the answer is no, then you need to shift. Ask more vulnerable questions. Get gritty. Share things that might not be well-received.

The whole idea is to attract the people that will be clawing at their credit cards to book your services or buy your products. It’s okay if some people don’t like you. In fact, in order to grow that’s exactly what needs to happen.
3. Skip the learning curve. If you are ready to jump into podcasting but the technical side of it freaks you out, that is the perfect time to get help! Candice is an expert at launching podcasts, and I help to manage them once they are up and running.

Whether you are looking for done-for-you services, just need a bit of direction, or want to go the DIY route, don’t get stuck on the nitty-gritty technicalities. Just reach out instead and we'll point you in the right direction.

Michelle E. Watson is an artisan storyteller and a true creative. In spite of the twists and turns of life, Michelle has always known she would be an author and a minister. Her two lifelong dreams have been to be a biographer and a missionary preacher. In 2014 Michelle founded The Charming Artist, where she sells her paintings and other artwork. She began using art in her speaking in 2019, based on the idea that a story can be told with any appropriate medium, not just words.

Michelle is the author of “Peaceful Heart, Healthy Body,” available on Amazon in both hard copy and Kindle formats. Her memoir describes her journey in finding the balance between faith and knowledge while dealing with a series of health challenges and chronic pain. It is a must-read for women of faith.

Whether she uses comedy, music, poetry, or visual art, Michelle both entertains and inspires her audience. Michelle published her first memoir, Peaceful Heart, Healthy Body, in 2019. She also founded her first Facebook group, Liberating the Voice of the Woman, to give women a safe place to use the arts to express things they have been silenced from sharing with family and loved ones. Her passion is to help women find their voice so they can receive healing from chronic pain brought on by past trauma.

Michele would like to offer the following advice to those who are beginning their own entrepreneurial journey:

  1. Keep looking for answers
  2. Enlist a support person to advocate for you and to offer emotional support

In March 2020 Michelle officially launched Peaceful Heart Coaching to provide one-on-one support to women who want specialized help and care in telling their stories. Michelle lives in Snellville, Georgia with her husband, daughter, and two grandchildren. She enjoys reading, knitting, and quiet off-season vacations.

Smart VAs is founded by a Filipino based in the United States, Kristy Yoder.

Being a multi-skilled leader, she humbly worked her way from a freelance virtual assistant and digital marketer to an entrepreneur.

While working with previous clients, Kristy saw the increasing demand for virtual assistants, which could solve the growing number of Filipinos desiring to shift to home-based work.

This potential pool of talent struggles with a less competitive salary and long hours of commute due to traffic. Thus, she established SmartVAs. She has built and trained a team based in the Philippines to help more aspiring solopreneurs in the digital space.

Kristy is also passionate about reaching out to the needy. Before moving to the US, she volunteered for many cause-related activities through local missions and youth outreach. As it is in her heart, she wants to continue to help by giving back to small NGOs and local churches.

Azul is a Health Coach, Personal Trainer, and Mindset Mentor. She helped people improve their relationship with food, fitness, and most importantly, themselves, by recognizing the important role psychology and language play in the health and wellness world.

While she loves the health and wellness community, Azul also believes the industry has been toxic for years, using fear and insecurities to sell programs and products. Her mission is to help push things in a new direction — where people are taking care of themselves because they believe they’re worth taking care of, not from a place of punishment and lack of self-worth.

Hey BOSS Ladies - Why Are You Staring At Blank Pages?
play

12/02/19 • 14 min

Send us a text

In this episode, we are going to dive into the mindset of writing and what is keeping you from getting started.

I did a Facebook live a while back on my page. I want you to take notes and ask yourself what's keeping me from achieving the results I want to have.
My primary focus is to help writers manage the writer's block and discover their writing voice. So that is my main focus, my main overall mission.
I did not use writing prompts when I started writing my book idea just came to me and I wrote it down. I wrote down the first paragraph and left it for two days. And then after two days, that's when I really came to me like it all of a sudden the voice just started talking to me and I was like, what is that? I just started writing out the words that the character was telling me.
I finished the book in three months and it's like completely unheard of these days. It takes people a year to actually write a book, but it actually took me three months. I had a really good writing regime down.
We need to get ourselves in a mindset that creates a lot of negativity. It creates all kinds of doubt. It creates everything. And sometimes our mind can be our worst enemy.

I choose this topic because I know so many of you want to learn how to get started writing but let me be honest...mindset is everything.

When I started out writing I knew nothing about what to do or how to get started. I used no writing prompts. I had an idea and I wrote the first paragraph and left it for 2 days. But it wasn’t until this voice came to me. I was like I couldn’t stop, and you know why I couldn’t... because I let the character voice tell me her story. · Sometimes we need to get ourselves out of the way which is our mind that creates all kinds of doubt and negativity.

  • Get rid of self-doubt (I can't, what-ifs, they mays, etc)
  • Know that everything you write will not become a novel. It is ok if it’s a blog post, short story, or a novella. It is ok if you don’t publish it. It’s ok if it’s a journal entry.
  • Get a piece of paper now and write down why are you staring at blank pages?

Let’s dive into today's episode!
