Teeth and tongue: the power of storytelling with Ese Ne Tekyerema
12/18/23 • 52 min
This month we take a deep dive into the story of chocolate, hearing the lived experience voices behind one of our favourite foods of the festive season.
Our guests Adelle and Nana-Essi from EnT Foundation (Ese ne Tekyerema - the 'teeth and tongue') teach us about the power of storytelling, challenging the hierarchies of western-centred knowledge systems, and the ways we can re-frame mindfulness practices to encompass a 'glocal' (global-local) way of thinking about mental wellbeing.
If you have a piece of chocolate available - keep it close by - but don't unwrap it yet! Our guests will let you know the right moment as they take you through the 'KoKoo Mindfulness' mindful eating practice.
