Today's Country Music, Too Poppy?

Has today's country music strayed too far away from the "traditional" sound, and too far into a more modern "pop" style? While it's no question that today's country music has no problem selling records, is traditional country music being left out of the mainstream and radio, to make way of the newer pop-country?
