🎙 In this episode, Jeff welcomes Susan LaMotte, CEO + Founder of exaqueo, which helped Jeff and his team during the pandemic to hire hundreds of thousands of people to deliver 70 million vaccines and 50 million tests.
Susan has a tremendous background and experience in business, sitting at the intersection of where business meets behavior.
She spent the first part of her career as a recruiter and HR generalist, before moving over to the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company as their Head of Talent Acquisition. She then moved to Marriott International and ran their global employer brand and marketing function. Susan has since launched her own consulting firm, exaqueo, which works with Fortune 500 and high growth companies to transform the employment relationship through employer brand, workforce insight, and candidate and employee experience, impacting almost 4 million employees.
The conversation centers around how the hiring process has changed from being a transaction to one that is more influenced by how people make each other feel. In the past decade, the rise of the internet, social media, and other influences have infiltrated the way people look for jobs. This means that people have access to more influences than ever before and business leaders have to figure out how to use those influences to their advantage in terms of hiring, attraction, and retention.
