Emily & Becca sit down to discuss and analyze season three, episode eight of Grey’s Anatomy (Staring At The Sun). Meredith & Derek are finally back together, and they learn a valuable lesson about the horrors of being bright and shiny. The nature of Alex & Izzie’s relationship is put into question as they treat Frank, a man who only speaks in third person. Meanwhile, TR Knight does God’s work playing a version of fan-favorite George O’Malley that we’ve never seen before. His sanity begins to unwind, partly because of his father’s cancer and partly because Cristina continues to lie to his face about his boyfriend, Burke. Also, Ellis freaking Grey is back. The Meredith character gets tested in a really big way, Cristina & Burke’s secret begins to unravel when George begins noticing something is wrong, and #MerDer finally happens! Not to mention a cliff hanger which will start a multi-episode arc.
