An Arrival Industries mini-reunion, you say? (Baker, where you at?) A gig in San Francisco, you say? DJing in a time of COVID-19 sure is strange, but hell yeah, I'm in. No tracklist, because WE DID IT LIVE.

Big Up Bootycorns #19 (Best of the Stream)
The podcast! It's back!
From here on out, I'll be using the pod to highlight one of the sets from my livestreams on Twitch (@DJAlexWhalen) and Mixcloud (@AlexWhalen). Right now I'm playing four or more times each week, with each set featuring a different style of melodic electronic. Although the complete archive for all these shows can be found on both SoundCloud and Mixcloud, those recordings include voiceovers and audience interaction, which some people REALLY don't want to hear overtop of their DJ sets. And that's why this pod now re-exists: to give those people someplace they can still get my mixes without any talking whatsoever!
Tuesdays feature a two-hour downtempo set and a three+ hour big room melodic electronic session, with the length of the set varying depending on whether I have a guest and/or am doing some kind of showcase. Thursdays see me doing a two-hour liquid funk & fast soul (a.k.a. hyper-melodic drum & bass), followed by four hour chunk-a-funk house session with one or more of my brothers from the Bootycorn Sound System.
For this week's episode, I've chosen my two hour set from the Bootycorn show. If you haven't heard me play in awhile, you're in for a surprise, as my house music alter ego has come out in full force since joining up with this crew. I won't ever claim to be Sam the Man, but what I do as a Bootycorn, I do partly in his honor, as he was taken from us far too soon.
