Trigger Warning: Please be advised that this episode contains disturbing material involving children that may not be suitable for some listeners. Please use discretion.

Ben and Tom of the Will Continue to Monitor podcast, our favorite dynamic duo, are back to guest host this week's episode. We are tackling the ongoing and disturbing case of Lucy Letby, a former UK children's nurse. Letby is accused of harming and murdering several infants under her care. If she is convicted, she would become Britain's most prolific child murderer.

Our Good Nurse story is about an overwhelmed charge nurse who contacted 911 for help from the fire department.

This week Tina is joined by new grad Nurse Jehr! Tina and Jehr tell you the story of Betty Wilson. Betty and Peggy were fraternal twins born in a small town in Alabama in 1945. Although the twin sisters were very close, they were also very different. Peggy was the beautiful, popular, homecoming queen type, and Betty opted for a wilder group of friends. Both married shortly after finishing high school, Peggy to a Baptist Choirmaster and Betty to a doctor she met in her nursing program. When Betty found her husband dead after a day of self-pampering, Betty and Peggy would find themselves accused of planning the murder. They close the show with a fascinating story of a famous jazz singer who left behind a very successful career singing and entertaining to go to nursing school.

Good Nurse Bad Nurse - Good Missionary Nurse Bad Suicidal Nurse

This week Tina is joined by nurse manager Allison again. After talking about a nurse who helped a homeless man who needed a heart transplant, they encourage everyone listening to take a selfie with their driver's license and post it on Instagram and/or Facebook with the hashtags #showmeyourheart and #goodnursebadnurse. The bad nurse story revolves around suicide so if that is a trigger for anyone, please consider sitting this one out. This story is so heartbreaking and unbelievable. It starts out in Canada with a young college student and ends up going all the way around the world. They end the story with a listener suggestion of a good nurse who does missionary work.

***Trigger Warning*** This episode contains elements of domestic violence and abuse.

This week, Tina is joined by nurses Hanna and Kristen, the hosts of a new podcast called Nurses In The Know. Together, they tell you the incredibly sad and disturbing story of an army medic who decided to go to medical school and became a surgeon. In 2011, he met a wonderful young single mother, Jackie Wisniewski, who was working as a medical receptionist while going to nursing school. They moved in together and everything seemed to be picture-perfect on the outside. But things are rarely as good as they seem. It all started to unravel when Jackie tried to leave the relationship.

They close the show with another surprise nurse from the past. Sojourner Truth did many wonderful things in her life, not the least of which was working as a nurse.

Jimmy’s parents paid for Rhonda to go to nursing school. By 2003, their marriage was falling apart, but they continued to live in the same house while Rhonda was finished school.
