Episode 46 - Alpha and Omega
03/08/21 • 19 min
This episode looks at Revelation 1:8-18. In this passage, the apostle John has been exiled to an island called Patmos where he receives a revelation of Jesus Christ (where we get the title of this book of the Bible). However, this Revelation of Jesus Christ was much different than the revelation he received of Jesus when he followed Him decades earlier. He had seen Jesus heal, cast out demons, and even saw evidence of His resurrection. But this encounter would be one that actually left him breathless and speechless. We learn from this lesson that the Revelation of Jesus Christ should produce awe and wonder in us.

This episode looks at I John 3:18-24. In this passage, the apostle John exhorts believers to love God and one another; not only in word but also in deed and in truth. In addition, John explores what it feels like to be burdened by condemnation. However, he offers his readers hope by reminding them that God is greater than their condemnation and that we can have confidence before God. Episode 47 - Your First Love
This episode looks at Revelation 2:1-7. In this passage, the Lord addressed the church of Ephesus. He commended them for several things including their commitment to working for the Lord, their labor, their patience, and the fact that they had refused to tolerate sin and wickedness. However, one thing He did have "against" them: they had left their first love. This episode looks at what that means and how we can apply this understanding to our lives this week. We learn from this lesson that we must stay focused on our first love, Jesus Christ.
