Episode 36 - Let Us Love One Another
12/28/20 • 19 min
This episode looks at John 3:16-17 and 1 John 4:7-21. In these passages of Scripture God's amazing love is clearly described. His love is summed up in 1 John 4:10: "Herein in love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins." And because of that great love, we are called to love one another. We learn from this lesson that we should love others because God so loved us.

Episode 35 - Greater Is He That Is In You
This episode looks at Luke 2:6-11 and I John 4:1-6. In the Luke passage, we find a portion of the Christmas story when the angels announced the "good news of great joy" to the shepherds on the hillside. This "great joy" is available this 2020 Christmas season. In I John 4 we are introduced to one of the hopes the "great joy" of Luke 2 has for all those who are filled with God's Spirit: "Greater is He that is in you!" We learn from this lesson that Jesus came in the flesh to save us and to give us the power to overcome the world.

Episode 37 - God Will Restore
This episode looks at Zephaniah 3:8-13 and Acts 2:1-4. In the Zephaniah passage, we are made acutely aware of the fact God will judge sin. However, the prophet also gives a glimmer of hope because God also seeks to bring restoration. The prophet points to the restoration that will come through the Holy Ghost. Acts 2 tells us of the initial outpouring of the Holy Ghost and gives all of us the hope of restoration we can receive through the power of God's Spirit living inside us. We learn from this lesson that though God judges rebellion and sin, we can find restoration if we turn to Him.
