Episode 32 - The Purpose and Plan of God
11/30/20 • 17 min
This episode looks at II Timothy 1:8-11. In this passage, we find Paul talking to Timothy about the calling of God and how it is linked to the purpose and plan of God. Paul told Timothy that his calling was not simply about Timothy's abilities, but it was according to God's purpose and grace. God's ultimate purpose for each of us, the Church, and the world will be accomplished because of the power and working of the gospel. We learn from this lesson that God wants us to be part of His purpose and plan.

Episode 31 - Freeing the Oppressed
This episode looks at Nehemiah 5:1-11. In this passage, we read about how many of the people living in Jerusalem were living under the oppression of their own people. The rich were mistreating the poor and many families were unable to pay their bills. As a result, children were being sold into slavery and homes were being ripped apart. Nehemiah became angry and put an end to the injustice and called the people to develop a fear of God. We learn from this lesson that God wants us to help those who are oppressed.

Episode 33 - Walking in the Light
This episode looks at Acts 9:1-5 and 1 John 1:5-10. In the Acts passage, we find Saul blinded by a light from Heaven and hearing the voice of Jesus. In 1 John we are admonished to walk in the light. In Acts, the light revealed Saul's sin and set him on a path of rescue and redemption. In 1 John, the light represents the relationship we can have with Jesus Christ.
