God's Word for Life

This episode looks at Daniel 2 and the dilemma Daniel and the wise men of Babylon found themselves in. The King demanded they tell him his dream and the interpretation. Daniel rallied his friends and prayed for the God of Heaven to reveal to them the dream. In response to their prayer, God spoke to Daniel and gave him the interpretation. Daniel then took the time to worship and praise God for the answered prayer. We learn from this lesson that because God is in control, we can trust Him to reveal His purpose and plan to us.

This episode looks at Daniel 1 and the righteous decision made by Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. While others chose to follow the king's orders, Daniel and his friends spoke up to defend their personal devotion to the one true God. God honored their commitment and proved Himself to these young men. We learn from this lesson that God has called us to separate ourselves unto Him and be holy.

This episode looks at Daniel 4:28-37. In this passage, we see not only the great fall King Nebuchadnezzar experienced because of pride, but also his eventual rise back to power after coming to understand who he was and ultimately who God was. In the end, King Nebuchadnezzar admitted that those who walk in pride, God is able to abase. We learn from this lesson that we must seek to avoid pride because God honors humility.
