Goddess Alive Radio and MotherHouse of the Goddess is delighted to welcome back, Priestess, Shamaness, and now Author, Amantha Murphy! Amantha was a guest with us in the first year of MotherHouse and it is so exciting to have her join us to celebrate her wonderful new book, Way of the Seabhean with co-writer Orla O'Conneell! The book has just been published by Womancraft Publishing in February 2021.
“The seabhean (pronounced sha-van) is the Irish female shaman, healer and seer, the woman who walks between the worlds.

What if we didn’t have to look to other traditions for our spiritual practice?
What if we could connect to the roots of our own ancestors’ rituals?"

Way of the Seabhean brings Amantha's Goddess storytelling, rich experiences, and powerful Shamanic practices to a greater audience. Her Wheel of the Year introduces us to some lesser-known Goddesses, as well as more familiar; Medb, Brigid, Áine , the Cailleach, Tailtiú, Boann, Macha, and Tlachtga.
Amantha shares some of her personal story and how she came to the Goddess through the land itself in Ireland as a child with the guidance of her Grandmother. We discuss holy sites of Ireland, the importance of personal spiritual experience, and all the Goddesses included on her Wheel of the Year!
More about Amantha:
Amantha Murphy is a Shamanic Teacher and Healer who follows the path of the Goddess. She started her spiritual work publicly in 1970 as a clairvoyant, moving into trance mediumship and healing. She developed many tools along the Way with her spirit and ancestral teachers guiding her and continues to work with both individuals and groups. Amantha is a Mother of four and Grandmother of four, living in County Kerry, Ireland, working primarily: with the Land, Running Apprentice Teachings at home in Ireland, in Canada and the United States on The Way of the Seabhean which includes Womyn’s Rites of Passage as well as her Ancient Goddess Pilgrimages. Her passion is the Land and returning to HER story -- working through the Grandmothers; the “Shining Ones'' the Tuatha de Danann; and the Ancient Ones. She has been running Sacred Pilgrimages in Ireland since 1995.

Amantha’s latest book -The Way of The Seabhean was published in February 2021.
My work, my family, my loved ones, my passion for the Great Goddess and the Land -- this is what moves and feeds me. The Land is my Mother and she has held me for as long as I can remember.” ~ Amantha
