GOAT #29: Teens
07/19/22 • 42 min
Having teenagers as a homeschooling family is a really interesting but much different experience than as a public school family. While jobs, academics, transcripts, even attitudes are common to both groups, homeschooling families often have to find different ways to accomplish these goals without the structure and resources provided by public schools.
Listen as Erin and Amanda discuss some of the ways they've worked with their teens and the options they've found to establish their teens' goals while encouraging them to move forward into their best lives.

GOAT #30: Transitions and Connections
Coping with change can be hard for so many people, adults and children alike! The act of passing from one state, stage, place, or subject to another is a form of change called "transitioning" and homeschool families are not exempt from having to cope with it.
In today's episode, Erin and Amanda will talk about transition times... whether a literal season transition, a school year transition, a summer transition, or a holiday transition. Both offer advice on how you can stay sane in the midst of a very busy time of life while also homeschooling and how making connections with others can help in this important area among others.
