Dreams are power. They can be used for replenishment, insights, and manifestation. On this episode of The DEB Show podcast, host Debra Eckerling speaks with Dr. Michael Lennox and Leslie Marsh about Dreams. Michael is author of "Psychic Dreamer: Exploring the Connection between Dreams and Intuition" among other titles and Leslie is a Shamanic Practitioner and Storyteller.
Michael and Leslie share their connection to dreams, ways to use dreams for insight and growth, and so much more.
What Are Dreams
Michael: Profound stories and takes of our infinite reality
Leslie: It begins with nothingness. We dream ourselves into being
The Value of Dreams
Leslie: It's good for our mental health and wellbeing
Michael: They enable us to go places we cannot go in our waking life; you cannot draw something to you that, below the surface, you don't think you can have
Michael: Dreams help you know who you are
Leslie: And your purpose
Manifestation
Michael: Petition your dreams for information.
Leslie: Get in touch with your universal mind on purpose. Start with gratitude (thanks, universal mind)
Goals
Michael: To remember your dreams more readily... Set intentions first. Put the dream journal next to your bed. Write something down even if you don't have a memory, as it will work as a trigger
Leslie: Make a "going on a date with yourself" ritual before sleep and dreaming
Final Thoughts
Leslie: Take small bites. Don't guzzle
Michael: Given the fact that world has gone mad, remember the resilience of the human organism. Focus on the good

This week on The DEB ShowI, host Debra Eckerling discusses journaling with Jen Jones Donatelli, Creative Groove; Lynda Monk, director of the International Association for Journal Writing; and cartoonist Chari Pere. There are plenty of benefits to journaling from self-care and emotional wellbeing to problem solving and productivity.
The panel shared their early journaling experiences, as well as thoughts on the value of a regular practice, options for journaling, and so much more.
The Benefits of Journaling
Lynda: Journaling helps you to know – and craft – who you truly are. It’s one thing to think our thoughts, it’s another to write them down. Plus, knowing yourself improves you relationships with others
Jen: It gives you a reason to carve out time for yourself every day
Chari: You get to say things to yourself that you wouldn’t necessarily say out loud
Jen: Journaling also helps you track synchronicity
Lynda: Manifestation happens when you think about what you want, write it down, and speak it
Journaling Prompts
Lynda: Use visuals, quotes, and questions to inspire you
Chari: Write your future in the present tense
Jen: Highlight self-care in morning mojo sessions; ask what your body, mind, and spirit are trying to tell you on this day
Goals
Chari: Pick one thing to write about: gratitude, a good deed, etc. Then, put a doodle next to it. The doodle should add to what you are writing
Jen: Find ways to make your journaling routine really juicy: find your ideal spot, snack, or practice to make the entire experience enticing
Lynda: Join a journaling community
Final Thoughts
Jen: Give yourself some grace around your journaling practice
Cheri: Start by writing in 15 minutes sessions
Lynda: Write about your thoughts and feelings, not just what you see and experience

Debra Eckerling hosts a LinkedIn Love Fest on this week’s GoalChat. Her guests are Ivonne Ribeiro, Founder of iSellSocial, and from Social Sales Link, Chief Coaching Officer Stan Robinson, Jr., and CEO Brynne Tillman. Brynne hosts the Making Sales Social Podcast, while the pair co-hosts the Sales Navigator Insights podcast. While most of Debra’s panels feature guests who are meeting for the first time, this is one of the occasions where the guests are long-time friends and colleagues. The panel shares their connections to each other, and to Debra (thanks, Viveka von Rosen). Plus, they talk about their love for LinkedIn, the benefits of the platform, how to go from spectator to engager, and so much more. It’s a fun, engaging, and strategic conversation.
LinkedIn Goals:
Stan: Find a thought leader in the industry that serves your clients, find a piece of content by them, and share it with your thoughts
Brynne: Search followers of that influencer, and you can send the post to those mutual connections
Ivonne: Find that influencer, and be one of the first commenters to one of their posts. You will get a ton of engagement
Ivonne: Create a posting strategy/plan put it in a spreadsheet
Final Thoughts:
Ivonne: My heart is for the spectators. Be brave, be confident, and take the steps necessary to start creating content and engaging on Linkedin
Stan: Baby steps. Start small and go from there
Brynne: Fill your box first. Before you try new things, make a list of the things you do that you love. Do those; then, go exploring
